Is this medical advice?
No. Manual Muscle Test is for learning and teaching. It does not diagnose or treat anyone. Practise under supervision, and follow your training, your local protocols and the judgement of a qualified professional.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later, and Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later.
Do I need an internet connection or an account?
Neither. Everything, including the 3D models, is inside the app, and there is nothing to sign in to.
Is there a subscription or anything to unlock?
No. One purchase gives you the whole app, with no in-app purchases and no ads.
I have a new phone. Do I pay again?
No. Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account and download it again from the App Store or Google Play at no charge.
How do I switch to Arabic, or to dark mode?
Tap the gear at the top of either tab. Under Language and appearance, choose the language and System, Light or Dark.
The labels cover the part I want to see.
Tap the tag button on the right of the 3D view to hide them on that page, or turn off Always show labels in Settings. You can also turn and zoom the model with your fingers.
How do I stop a movement at a certain point?
Drag the slider under the 3D view. Dragging pauses the movement; the play button starts it again.
Can I see the whole patient, or look closer?
The figure button shows the whole patient on the plinth. On a goniometry page, the target button looks straight down onto the goniometer's dial.
The moving previews make my phone warm.
Turn off Moving previews in grids in Settings. The previews then stand still part way through each movement.
Where is the introduction I saw the first time?
Settings, Help, Introduction. The educational-use notice is there too.
Where do the 3D models come from?
The skeleton and muscles are adapted from Open3Dmodel by AnatomyTOOL.org under CC BY-SA 4.0; the goniometer and tape measure were made for the app. Full credits are at the bottom of Settings.
How do I ask for a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple and Google. On iPhone and iPad, use reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, open the order in Google Play and choose Request a refund.
